Arnason Hockey Skating is led by Aubrey Arnason, a former competitive figure skater who holds a Diploma in Kinesiology and is a nationally certified NCCP coach with over 20 years of experience in coaching hockey skating for minor, junior, and professional players.

 

Aubrey comes from a prestigious hockey family, with her father Chuck and brother Tyler being NHL veterans who played 509 and 487 games, respectively. Her father was drafted 7th overall and both Chuck and Tyler were awarded the Dudley "Red" Garett Award (rookie of the year -  AHL). Growing up in this environment has given Aubrey invaluable insights into the sport of hockey, from grassroots to the NHL level. Her family values, competitive figure skating background, and education uniquely position her as a valuable resource for youth hockey players.

AHS believes that optimal learning occurs through games, healthy competition, and individual exploration of mechanics. A solid skating foundation is crucial in hockey, and we are dedicated to providing an exceptional skating program which enables players to reach their full potential at all levels.

We teach discipline with compassion, guiding each player to feel confident as they tackle one of the world’s most complex sports. Our approach is playful and creative, moving away from the traditional intensity of the sport of hockey.
